By-the-numbers VR survival horror in darkness
Escape Camp Waddalooh is good for people who like jump scares, or for people who like going on YouTube and jumping when they play a game such as this. You have nothing but a flashlight, and you have to escape the dark camp while avoiding monstrous enemies.
A VR version of what you have seen before
Everybody has seen games where the player has nothing but a flashlight and has to escape a very dark place without being caught or killed by some sort of malevolent enemy. Escape Camp Waddalooh is much the same. The graphics are pretty poor, but it is not as noticeable since all you are able to see is the ring of light that the flashlight gives off. The only aim of the game is to find a way out of the camp by finding the key or way to break the lock, and you have to do it without the zombie-sort-of-monster thing eating you. It crawls really quickly along the ground, so you are not even safe in the long grass outside.
You are not in pitch black
The developers of Escape Camp Waddalooh could have made their job very easy and set the game in full darkness, but you are able to make out the ground, the sky, trees, and so forth when you play this game. The flashlight shows you things in focus, but you still have a vague idea of what is going on outside of the ring of light. Like most of the games that came before it, it is very short and has no replayablity. There is a jump scare, but there is only one and that is when or if you are caught.
